Rostec says supplies 3,000 phones on OS Aurora to firms, government

MOSCOW, Aug 11 (PRIME) -- Russian state industrial corporation Rostec has supplied about 3,000 AYYA smartphones running on national operating system Aurora to corporate and state customers and discusses further cooperation, a company representative told PRIME on Friday.

Company Avtomatika, part of Rostec, and Open Mobile Platform, part of telecom company Rostelecom, presented a trust-phone, a smartphone for safe communication, AYYA T1, running on Aurora in March 2022.

“We see an increase in the number of local manufacturers and the range of OS Aurora-based devices they produce,” a Rostelecom spokesperson told PRIME.

Rostelecom said it is ready to help customers switch to Aurora, a process which has recently become active.
